JOSEPH HENRY 1895
To enjoy you soap to the very last bubble please store soaps not in use in Joseph Henry 1895 box that it comes with in a cool and dry location. If you prefer to take it out of the box, make sure that the container provides some ventilation so that soaps can breathe. Keep your stored soaps out of direct sunlight, as natural ingredient colors may fade. If storing several soaps, it’s best to store similar scents together. In general, assuming proper storage, your handcrafted soap should last from 6 to 12 months. Make sure that the soap can dry between uses and is out of direct contact with water.
Waxed Canvas Care
Waxed canvas like leather does not require full cleaning and should not be machine washed, machine dried, or dry cleaned. If necessary, spot clean your waxed canvas with cold water using a sponge or gentle brush. Store in a dry place to prevent mold and mildew. Waxed canvas will better with age, but will need to be re-waxed in time. We recommend using Martexin Wax.
Leather does not require cleaning. Avoid soaking the leather in water. If your leather does become wet, let dry without applying heat. The leather closures and strap attachments on the Waxed Canvas Tote may be stiff when new. After some use the straps and closures will be adjustable with ease.
DANS le SAC Bread Bags
You are advised not to slice bread before putting it in the bag. Once bread has been sliced, the air contact surface increases, so it dries out more quickly.
Homemade or bakery-made bread will keep for 3 to 4* days. Baguette-style bread will keep for around 2* days.
You are advised to seal the bag as tightly as possible.
You can also freeze the bread directly in the bag, but make sure to close the tightly as possible!
*The shelf life of your bread will depend on the environment (temperature, humidity, etc.) in which the bag is stored.
*The crust servers as a natural barrier, so if you use a bread machine and the crust is thin, your bread may dry faster.
Our bags are machine-washable in cold water. We recommend not putting them in the dryer so as to avoid cotton shrinkage. We also recommend not washing them too often.
With a useful life of several years, "Dans Le Sac" bags are designed to offset the environmental impact of thousands of plastic and paper bags.
A shrinkage of 10% on the height of the bag is to be expected after the first wash. The bag was designed larger in anticipation of this shrinkage.
